The following treatment models are used; cognitive-behavioural therapy, systemic (family) therapy, couples work and behavioural therapy. Accredited with The Lorna Wing Centre to complete NICE compliant Autism assessments. Trained in the assessment of ADHD.
The input offered is tailored specifically to the needs of the person seeking help. Goals and outcomes are set collaborativley in order to ensure a sense of control and choice.
A range of assessments are offered for a variety of psychological conditions. These include assessments of Autism in childen and adults. Assessment of common mental health difficulties such as depression and anxiety. Neurospychological assessments are also available for people with cognitive impairment.
A range of psychological treatments are offered including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Systemic (family) therapy, and Couples work. The work has a collborative focus and formulations of the areas of concern are co-produced.
Training and consultation on Autism, ADHD, and the use of formulations to professional and private groups. Supervision is also offered to professionals seeking external clinical support on cases.
An agreed telephone appointment is made to enable an initial formulation of key areas of need and to discuss rates and treatment plan.

A small private practice dedicated to the enhanced understanding and treatment of psychological distress and all major psychological conditions offering detailed, comprehensive assessments and intervention plans that are informed via a variety of psychological models and therapies.
The process all clients can expect is fully collaborative at every level of involvement and thoroughly personalised. The care offered is high quality and professional with much attention paid to what the individual/family experiencing distress actually describes as their particular set of psychological stresses, taking a positive and compassionate approach to our work we aim to guide and support our clients towards increased self-awareness and understanding of the causes and factors that maintain their psychological pain and discomfort.
Areas of expertise include assessment and treatment of depression and anxiety, phobias and fears, Obsessive- Compulsive Disorder (in children and adults), school refusal, family difficulty (e.g. communication problems, parenting of children and adolescents, bereavement, adjustment to new school, and new relationships).
Also on offer are group sessions to staff in schools or care organisations (teachers, foster carers, residential homes) on issues such as Autism and how to work with people who have the condition, how to keep up professionalism, safe practice and well-supported staff teams in care environments where the nature of the needs of the client group can challenge the aforementioned. Organisational support regarding supervision of staff, risk management in terms of staff burn out, patient safety (Mental Capacity), support and guidance around the area of positive risk-taking.
